Effective November 17, 2022, the DAV Van Ride Program will no longer operate in our area and Muscatine County will transition to the VA Veteran Transportation Service (VTS).

What does this mean for you?

You will no longer need to call Muscatine County Veteran Affairs or the local DAV Van Ride Hotline phone number of (563) 316-2330 for a ride to your VA medical appointment.

Instead, Muscatine County Veterans who need transportation to a VA Medical Facility after November 17, 2022 will need to contact VTS to schedule their ride.

This can be done any of the following three ways.

1.    Veterans can contact VTS to request a ride to their VA medical appointments by calling:

(319) 338-0581 Ext. 636009

2.    Veterans can register to schedule a ride with VTS, 24 hours a day, through the VTS website:

www.vetride.va.gov

3.    Veterans can directly coordinate rides with VTS through their VA Healthcare Team when attending a VA appointment or when scheduling VA medical appointments.

VTS needs two weeks advanced notice of your VA medical appointment in order to schedule your transportation request.

This change only applies to Veterans who are residents of Muscatine County.
